The Pretty Post

 My photographer Emily recently sent us the cutest package that had our favorite candy as well as an adorable notebook. Not only was what she got us so thoughtful but the packaging was adorable and she used washi tape to hold the box together. I loved the idea she had of using a plain box and decorating it simply with washi tape so you can imagine how excited I was to find this website. Cutetape says it all in the website name so naturally the cutest washi tape and party/crafting supplies are found on this website. I know I have quite a collection growing in my shopping bag right now!

Beauty:Lipstick

I was never a lipstick girl. Gloss yes, but lipstick I always thought just looked silly on me. I think it was an age thing or the color I kept trying that just was not working but that drastically changed the day I found Nars lipstick in these two colors. Now I know are bright POP colors but I just love them and how they photograph! 

 Nars Heat Wave is my favorite shade. It is a semi matte orange red that again I think looks great with all skin tones and hair colors. I especially like the contrast with my blonde hair and blue eyes. It also it very creamy and not sticky at all!

Nars Schiap is my other lover. Yes, it is a shocking pink color but trust me if you are in the mood for a pink it brightens your whole face. It is actually the color I have in my profile picture!

I had to throw this last non lipstick favorite of mine. It is the Buxom Fill-On Lip Polish in Katie. My friend Sarah was the one who introduced this gloss to me for those days that lipstick just seems a little much. This gloss is a pink lemonade color and has a little tingle to it to give the "plumping" effect. I notice the tingle and regardless of plumping think its a great natural shade for when my chapstick needs a little kick.

Wedding: Florals

 So I am headed to meet with a florist today to see where my inspiration is going towards in terms of price and flower availability. As you can see I am definitely going towards a romantic feel full of various greens and creams. My friend Katie also likes to say my theme is "Botanical Bohemian" if we need to put a name on it! I know that euculyptus runners must be on my farm tables (fingers crossed they are not a million dollars) and I also want to put in some color here and there but not decided yet. I do love the pops of lavender and red in some of these pictures! Hopefully I can put these ideas together to stick within budget and achieve the look I want! What are your favorite flower arrangements?

SWOONING OVER

I saw this dress and almost fell out of my chair. Emma Stone has always been one of my favorites and this Dolce and Gabbana flora dress is just perfect. I am in love with the color and floral print. The fact that it has sleeves and just hits above the ankle makes it also great for any season. The shoes as well.. killer. Since I know this dress is way out of my budget, it has me on a whole new mission to find something very similar. I shall be on the lookout!

Home Love

Friends, I have found a paint that has just went above and beyond. After looking for the perfect white color to redo my ugly brown painted bathroom cabinets that frankly I have lived with long enough, I stumped upon raving reviews after reviews of Benjamin Moore's White Dove by Benjamin Moore.  A lot of designers swear by using this paint color for their trim and cabinets. Already a fan of white for kitchen cabinets, I took the plunge in the bathroom and after applying 3 coats in the Advanced high gloss finish,  I could not be happier with the results. My once dreary bathroom has instantly been brightened and all it took was a little paint job! I am very tempted now to spruce up our kitchen cabinets with this high gloss white color, I love it so much. But first, I must change up the bathroom fixtures with some brass accents. Stay tuned!
